Proper completion and execution of the I-9 form is of extreme importance. 

While I-9 verification is not technically a Notarial service, it is subject to the same ethical scrutiny. Many employers hire Notaries to complete I-9's on their behalf when the employer is unable to be present to execute the form.

Acceptable forms of ID for I-9 Verification

Section A

  • US Passport
  • US passport card
  • Permanent Resident Card
  • Alien Resident Card
  • Alien Registration Receipt Card (Form I-551)
  • Foreign Password with Temp I-551 stamp
  • Employment Authorization Document with photograph (Form I-766)
  • Non-immigrant Alien Authorized to work for a specific employer because status
  • Foreign Passport
  • Form I-94 or Form I-94A that has same name as passport and and endorsement of the alien's non-immigrant status as ling as that period of endorsement us current



If you do not have a form of ID from section A, you will have to provide two forms from Section B & C
