St Louis City - Commercial Occupancy Application - For Business

  • If you are not the owner of the property, then you will need either a signed lease agreement, or a signed and notarized Letter of Authorization. These will need to be in PDF format so they can be uploaded with your application. 
  • If you are the owner making this application, then you do not need to provide a copy of the lease or notarized Letter of Authorization.

St Louis City - Home Occupancy Waiver Permit

  • As a requirement of the St. Louis Building Code, unless the owner of a building personally applies for a Certificate of Use and Occupancy for that building or a portion thereof, we will require a notarized letter of authorization from the owner of record for said building.
  • This notarized letter will contain the owners name, address and telephone number and give permission to, the applicant, a full time resident, to apply for a home occupancy waiver. In the event that a corporation owns or manages the building, the notarized letter of authorization will be on company letterhead and signed by a responsible person, preferably an officer of the corporation.

  • Any person desiring to operate a Short-Term Loan Establishment 13 shall make written application for a Short-Term Loan Establishment 14 permit or the renewal thereof to the commissioner or the commissioner’s 15 designee. The application shall be signed by the applicant and notarized.

  • Prospective applicants are required to bring with them either a signed lease or notarized letter from the owner of the property stating that permission has been granted to the applicant to occupy the premises. The lease or letter should also state what type of business will occupy the space.

Chapter 25.11 - RESIDENTIAL CODE - City of St Louis Missouri

  • Application for a permit shall be made by the owner or lessee of the building or structure, or agent of either, or by the Missouri licensed design professional employed in connection with the proposed work. The full names, addresses, and telephone numbers of the owner, lessee, and applicant shall be stated in the application. Every application shall have a local contact person listed. Demolition and occupancy permit applications, when applied for by anyone other than the owner of record, shall be accompanied by a notarized letter of authorization or other documentation from the owner of record granting permission to apply.

Demolition of Structures - St Louis City Permit

  • Wrecking, Demolition, or Razing of Buildings or Structures. No person, firm, or corporation shall wreck, demolish, or raze a building or other structure within the City of Saint Louis without first obtaining a permit for said demolition from the Division of Building and Inspection. Such permit shall be issued only to a person, firm, or corporation certified as a demolition contractor by the City of Saint Louis except that a permit shall be issued to the owner of record of land or to an agency or division of the City of Saint Louis if such building is not more than 1½ stories or 15 feet in height and not more than 10,000 cubic feet in volume or 1,000 square feet in area without a basement. 
  • Demolition permit applications, when applied for by anyone other than the owner of record, shall be accompanied by a notarized letter of authorization or other documentation from the owner of record granting permission to apply.

Investigation of Records for Sections 114 Violations - St Louis City Permit

  • Investigation of Records. Upon the receipt of a written request from the owner of the property, or the real estate agent for the property, or the attorney, architect, or engineer representing the owner of the property, the Permit Section Supervisor shall ask the various Building Division sections for copies of any existing violation letters concerning the property. If the request is not on the owner's letterhead, a notarized authorization from the owner must be submitted.Demolition permit applications, when applied for by anyone other than the owner of record, shall be accompanied by a notarized letter of authorization or other documentation from the owner of record granting permission to apply.

Residential Occupancy Permit - St Louis City Permit

  • By Whom Application Is Made. An application for an occupancy permit shall be made by the owner of record of the building, structure, or premises. If an occupancy permit application is made by any person other than the owner of record, a notarized letter or some other proof must be presented granting permission from the owner of record to the applicant to apply for the occupancy permit for the stated use. The full names, addresses, and telephone numbers of the owner, lessor, and applicant shall be stated. If the building is owned by a corporation, said notarized permission letter or other proof shall be signed by an officer or registered agent of that corporation.
